On the 7th of February 2007 the Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende met the CEO of Sound Intelligence Derek van der Vorst.

Prime minister Balkenende is interested in Sound Intelligence because it is a good example of an innovative company that has its origins at the University of Groningen, is financed by the Northern Regional Development Company (NOM) and is now starting its international break-through.
