A trial with the aggression-detector from the company Sound Intelligence, located in the city of Groningen, in London is succeeded. The system was tested for several months in a violent neighborhood in the English capital. In the meanwhile, Sound Intelligence started talking to other cities in Great Britain to place the system. CEO of Sound Intelligence, Derek van der Vorst, said so from Great Britain. Upon request of British partners, Van der Vorst can’t talk about details of the test. At the beginning of the year, a delegation from London came to Groningen to take a look at the system. When the city of London wants Sound Intelligence to install the system, a lucrative project is possibly waiting for the company. The system of Sound Intelligence is an extension of the protection of public spaces by cameras. With the help of microphones, the system recognizes aggression en gives a signal to the police-center. This way, the police can be present quickly and the images could be viewed immediately to see what happens on the streets. It’s going well with the company, recently a second establishment has opened in the city of Amersfoort.
