Technology

Sound Intelligence' signal processing techniques are based on a linear model of the human ear (cochlea). The cochlea performs a frequency analysis on the incoming audio signal. Advantage of the cochlea is that the continuity in both time and frequency domain guarantees.

Sound Intelligence analysis techniques are "knowledge based". This means that temporal and spectral information is used for the analysis of sound. The advantage is that no large amounts of training samples are needed and that the system has no problems with low signal-noise ratios. This may well the Sound Intelligencer technology being used in real-life situations such as prisons, inner cities and public transport.

Our patented technology is the only audio detection technology which is based on the working of the human ear. Because of the many years of in-depth R&D that has been invested in the product, we can accurately separate sound sources and recognise different sounds, just like the human hearing system does. Our product, Sigard, is capable of distinguishing a large range of different sounds in real life situations.
